Blake Lively, for those of you who don’t know, is a 29-year-old actress best known for playing Serena in the popular Gossip Girl television series.

Early Life

Blake was born in Los Angeles to a creative and well connected family and she began acting classes initially because her parents didn’t want to hire a baby sitter. Despite not initially taking much of an interested in acting in 2005 Blake starred in The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants in which she played Bridget, one of the four female leads who makes up the ‘sisterhood’. The film did fairly well and Blake was nominated for a Teen Choice Award. After that she went on to star in Accepted, Elvis and Anabelle and in 2007 she was cast as Serena van der Woodsen in Gossip Girl.

Gossip Girl was an iconic and critically acclaimed American teen TV show that ran from 2007 till 2012. It revolved around the fictional lives of Manhattan’s teenage elite, and the story begins when Serena van der Wooden, one of the privileged elite, returns to Manhattan after a brief and mysterious stint at boarding school. Serena (Blake) is an ‘it girl’ who, it turns out, left Manhattan partly because she had slept with her best friend Blaire’s boyfriend and because as a result of her own former drunkenness and bad decisions she was involved in a scandalous tragedy that forced her to flee the city. Despite her pasta Blake’s character is one of the warmest and most likeable in the series, and Serena showed a lot of character development throughout the show.

Appearance, hobbies and relationships

Blake is a beautiful woman and her looks have been praised throughout her career. Blake was named the most desirable woman of 2011 according to AskMen.com, People magazine listed her as one of 2012’s Most Beautiful at Every Age, she was the face of the Gucci fragrance Gucci Premiere in 2012 and in 2013 she was made the face of L’Oreal.

Blake is also an avid foodie and in her spare time she likes to take cookery classs and bake cakes. She has talked about opening her own restaurant in the future and has expressed a desire to go to culinary school. Despite her slender frame Blake has in the past claimed that food is the number one love of her life.

Blake Lively is not just an actress and she has actually set up her own website Preserve which features clothes and food that Blake created by chefs and artisans that Blake has found through her travels. This E-Commerce site isn’t quite finished, but Blake remains otimistic about her start up business and sells it as a way to promote all the talented people she has met during her career including painters, antique shop owners and designers.

Blake has been involved with Penn Badgley and Leonardo Dicaprio in the past, but she settled down with Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds in 2011 and got married to him in 2012. The couple now has two children.

Thoughts on Beauty

Blake Lively is heavily involved in the beauty industry as a spokesperson for L’Oreal, but what does she think of the pressures that female celebrities face to remain young, beautiful and perfect? She says that dealing with the camera’s never got any easier but she has learned how to deal with it by treating it as a performance rather than real life. Blake has famously said that she has previously done her own hair and make up for events and she chooses her own clothes and her own styles without being told what to look like and wear by a stylist.

One thing that may point towards possible plastic surgery is that Blake has claimed she doesn’t have a very good face cleansing regime. Despite being the face of L’Oreal and having access to their products whilst working when she goes home she says she often just washed her face with hotel soap. She has studied anti-ageing moisturisers in the L’Oreal laboratories but she personally find it hard to get into a strict beauty regime and she also gets spots from facials and so has to avoid them. Blake is still quite young and so would be unlikely to have any wrinkles anyway, but there is always the chance that she doesn’t need it because of botox injections. It is very hard to tell now, but over the next ten years we may discover the truth.

Blake Lively plastic surgery has certainly attracted many people to discuss. She is a beautiful actress. Many of us couldn’t deny that. However her recent appearance is inviting people to wonder. It seems that Hollywood never lets its celebrities to live freely, including free from plastic surgery. Blake Lively is believed to be having some procedures, too. Some plastic surgery procedures are enough to replace her natural face.

Blake Lively plastic surgery is mainly related to her nose. Ever since the start of her career Blake was easily recognised because of her nose. It was not an unpleasant nose and in fact it was a great addition to her face that made her look unique and in some ways even more beautiful, but by Hollywood’s very rigid standards her nose did kind of stand out.

Throughout much of her earlier career Blake had quite a long and pointed nose, but some more recent pictures show that her nose has been lifted, is less defined and seems thinner than it used to be. As her features have changed quite a lot from her early twenties many people assume she has at the very least had a nose job even though the actress denies it.

Yep, many people believe that 28-year-old American actress has  nose job done. We can see the result of nose surgeon work in the Before and After pictures. It’s easy to see her nose change. Blake Lively before plastic surgery had wider and bigger nose compared to hers today. It also looked flatter.

Here came miracle. Blake Lively changed her nose ‘gene’. Her nose appears smaller and narrower. Look at the nose bridge. This part seemed to get special attention from the nose specialist. Her nose bridge changed drastically.

Some people may be a little upset if it is true that Blake did get a nose job because they think she didn’t need it. Blake was beautiful with her nose and it gave her face a friendly and natural quality that made her look more approachable and likeable without taking anything away from her naturally good looks, and now although she is still gorgeous she doesn’t look at unique or as friendly. The fact that naturally gorgeous women like Blake may feel pressured to change a feature which didn’t need to be changed can make some people angry and blame Hollywood and the fashion industry for promoting perfection at any cost.

That’s all very well, but her nose is still her nose. There is a misconception that people go under the knife to change their face completely because they are insecure or striving for some fake ideal that will inevitably go wrong. This often isn’t actually true because a lot of people don’t have plastic surgery to look like someone else, they do it to look like a better version of themselves. Blake didn’t get a new nose. If she did get plastic surgery she just altered and ‘softened’ it a bit so it looked slightly less exaggerated. We know all too well that some celebrities get plastic surgery very, very wrong, but that’s not the case for everyone.

A prominent plastic surgeon recently speculated that based on his professional opinion Blake used to have a downwardly pointing prominent tip which came with a wide nasal bridge, and during her surgery she had some of the top removed a, narrowed and rotated whilst her bridge was narrowed and lowered. Good for her, she got it right. Nose job (Rhinoplasty) has helped her to get better nose shape, and perhaps better career as well. Nose job is not the only procedure she allegedly has. Procedures such as eyelid surgery, Botox injection and even breast implants are on Blake Lively’s plastic surgery list. And just like the nose job, those procedures are not too hard to prove.

We couldn’t deny that Blake Lively has upgraded her appearance significantly, but could it be all come from plastic surgery? Has Blake Lively had plastic surgery on her eyelid, face skin and boobs? Well, we can’t help. Many people do believe that she has those procedures.

Some people have used before and after photos to prove that Bake has had eyelid surgery and/or botox, but the images don’t tend to show that big a difference and any changes could simply be down to ageing, make up and the lighting, angle and camera that was used.

We need to remember that Blake is still pretty young and although that hasn’t stopped others from having plastic surgery she still isn’t at an age where she is likely to be pressured into it so much. Blake is still in her twenties and she has access to some of the best make up in the world so whilst it is possible it doesn’t seem like it would be necessary and, like I said before, the pictures that try and show key differences in her face aren’t all that convincing.

Some of the people who are convinced Blake has had multiple plastic surgeries say that Eyelid surgery or Blepharoplasty is the procedure to explain recent appearance of her eyelid. We see it, Blake Lively plastic surgery pictures capture different eyes appearance between the Before and the After pictures. Botox, is another cause over her unnatural look. She often appears with frozen and too tight face.

Some people believe that Blake has has breast implants to make her breasts larger, perkier and more symmetrical than they used to be. If you look at older and more recent pictures of Blake it does appear that her breasts are bigger, but before assuming that the star has had breast enhancement surgery we need to remember one thing.

Blake is a mother of two young children. When a woman has a baby her breasts will naturally swell when her children are at breast feeding age, and Blake herself has said that her breasts get bigger during the day when she isn’t pumping milk and thus she has to wear several different outfits per day to cover them up. We know that when a woman is lactating her breasts do naturally expand, so why is everyone so quick to assume it must be plastic surgery rather than the more simple and natural explanation that Blake is just a normal mother with a normal body?

Rumours of Blake’s alleged breast surgery actually pre-date her children and they go back as far as 2010 and perhaps even earlier. It is possible that Blake had a book job before having children, but her enhanced figure could also be a result of ageing, diet and/or exercise.

It is also important to mention that a lot of the before and after pictures that are used to ‘prove’ Blake’s boob job are taken at different angles i.e. the before image tends to be taken from the front whereas the after is often a side profile. It’s quite obvious that her boobs are going to look bigger from the side than they do from the front, so perhaps there’s nothing more to the rumours than camera angles and the after effects of becoming a mother.
