Dwayne Johnson Plastic Surgery of Liposuction, Before After
Has Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Had Plastic Surgery Other Than a Breast Reduction?
Dwayne Johnson was born in Hayward, California on May 2nd, 1972. He is a Canadian-American actor who started his career as a professional wrestler. He was a part of the WWE (World Wrestling Federation) from 1996 to 2004. He has seventeen WWE championship reigns to his name.
Some of his signature wresting moves include;
- Float-over DDT
- Flowing snap DDT
- Jumping Clothesline
- Running swinging neckbreaker (that one sounds painful)
- Samoan drop
- Spinebuster (that one sounds even worse!)
Dwayne Johnson seems to have transitioned from wrestler to actor pretty seamlessly. In 2013 he was named as the top-grossing actor, with the films that he starred in, bringing in $1.3 billion. That is a huge amount!
He is obviously very well-known for having starred in the Fast and the Furious franchise, but you may be surprised to read about just how many other films and projects this man has worked on.
- He set the world record for the most number of selfies taken in 3 minutes, by taking 105 selfies with fans during the premier of San Andreas in London, helping him enter the Guinness World Record Books.
- In 2006 he founded the Dwayne Johnson Rock Foundation, which works to help at-risk and terminally ill children.
- He has even released his own music! The songs all appear on soundtracks for films he has starred in, or they appeared on the WWE soundtrack.
Plastic Surgery for Men
Plastic surgery is no longer a field dominated by women. The American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) states that the number of cosmetic surgeries carried out on men between 1997 and 2012 rose by a dramatic 106%. Men are certainly getting in on the action.
It seems that men are choosing to go under the knife, not just to improve their looks but also to remain competitive. Men are feeling the pressure to look good to help enhance their careers. They believe that the better they look the more seriously they will be taken by their boss. They also believe that it will give them the edge over their work colleagues, who they also see as their competition.
The most popular plastic surgery procedures for men are liposuction, rhinoplasty (nose job), eye lid surgery, gynecomastia (removal of breast tissue) and ear shaping.
Dwayne Johnson’ Breast Reduction
With the most popular cosmetic procedure for men being liposuction, it is not surprising to find that the cosmetic procedure that the Dwayne Johnson decided to have done was liposuction on his chest area.

Dwayne Johnson Plastic Surgery Before and After Picture
Plastic surgery is for everyone, including for masculine, muscular men. And a real example of that has been showed by Dwayne Johnson. Dwayne Johnson plastic surgery has attracted many eyes. And semi-retired wrestler didn’t even try to hide his plastic surgery. “The Rock” has openly talked about procedure he has taken. What has he done?
There is one procedure he admitted. No, it’s not about his eyebrow. Dwayne Johnson plastic surgery is mainly related to his breast reduction. Yep, if you think breast reduction is only for women, you are wrong. Breast reduction is just another procedure that performed on men.
Although not as popular as nose job, botox and eyelid surgery but number of male breast reduction patient is reportedly increasing every year. The reduction is similar to liposuction. Many use the latter word, though. But main purpose of the procedures remains the same; to reduce chest size by removing excess or fat tissue on breast.
Dwayne Johnson has openly said that he underwent liposuction back in 2005. We all knew what Dwayne’s body looked like in more than a decade ago. He had big muscles everywhere. So, what’s the problem?
Physically, Dwayne Johnson may not have problem. But mentally, he had. Although he was a wrestler but his plastic surgery decision didn’t have relation with his health. As he himself admitted, Dwayne’s plastic surgery is mainly for aesthetic reason.
Johnson felt that he was starting to look too big and decided the best option was to have surgery. In 2005 he decided to have what is known as a lipoplasty to correct what was diagnosed as pseudo gynecomastia; a term which indicated a build-up of fatty tissues in the male breast.
As we can see from the photos below, there is an obvious difference between the before and after photos.
His pecs don’t really look that bad in the first photo, yes they are larger than in the second photo, but as he is a big man who is packing a lot of muscle, they certainly don’t make him look fat. They look in proportion to the rest of his body.
In the second photo we can see that his pecs look quite deflated, his nipples are sitting higher on his chest and there is less definition of his pecs. There is a clear difference in the later photos and this is obviously due to the procedure that he underwent.
He looks great in both photos. But, if he is happy with the results then that is great to see.

Dwayne Johnson Plastic Surgery
Dwayne Johnson’s Movie Career
American-Canadian actor who played in popular films such as The Scorpion King, Fast Five and Furious 7 seems happy with his surgery decision. The procedure has helped him to get better confidence, and career. At least we can see Dwayne Johnson has appeared in more popular films after the year of his plastic surgery.
Has Dwayne Johnson had a Facelift?
Liposuction is not the only procedure of Dwayne Johnson plastic surgery. One of the greatest professional wrestlers is linked with another one. There’s rumor saying that he might also have facelift. But as we can see in Before-After plastic surgery picture of him, the facelift rumor is hard to prove.
When looking at his before and after photos from his breast reduction, we should now tear ourselves away from his pecs and focus on his face.
If we look carefully can we see the slightest hint of a face lift. It really does not look as if the hard man has had any work on his face, which we think can only be a good thing. Dwayne Johnson looks great and he certainly does not need to do anything to improve his facial features.
So Why Did The Rock Decide to Have His Pecs Reduced in Size?
Society today dictates that people need to look perfect. But what does perfect even look like? This is the question that the multi-million-dollar plastic surgery industry is trying to answer.
For some people the perfect figure will be slim, the face will be symmetrical and the nose will be slim with a pointed tip. For others, big boobs are the answer to perfection, with a tiny waist and a shapely derriere.
For Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, his idea of perfection included a breast reduction, or liposuction as it is also known as.
For him, the fat that had accumulated around his chest muscles was unappealing and he found that it had an impact on his mental state and his ability to get film roles. So he took the big decision to have surgery, to have the fat removed.
To some people this may seem like an extreme response, especially when you think that he could just have tried exercising to remove the fat.
However, this is The Rock we are talking about. A man who is in peak physical fitness, if he can’t remove stubborn fat, then we probably have to admit that nothing is going to move it.
Of course Johnson is not the only man going under the knife. Plastic surgery procedures for men are growing ever more popular.
The reason for this is the fact that we are growing more and more competitive with each other. It is no longer enough to be the best at your job, you must also look young and healthy. There will always be younger people coming up behind you on the career ladder and the fear of being passed over for a promotion because you do not look the part is a worry for a lot of men.
For Dwayne Johnson the fear could stem from the fact that he is trying to make it as an actor in Hollywood, an industry notorious for being obsessed with youth. We also shouldn’t ignore the fact that he started out as a wrestler. He has a tough guy image to maintain and carrying around extra fat on an area more associated with women may have been a real concern to him.
Overall, the surgery that he has had done, does look good. It looks natural and it fits in with his body shape. It may have taken a lot for a big, hard man like himself to have plastic surgery and then admit to it. He should be applauded for this as it may encourage other men in the future to undergo cosmetic procedures that they would have been too shy to have had done otherwise.
Anything that can get men having a broader, more open discussion about their looks and the way feel about them can only be a good thing.
When it comes time for us to consider whether Dwayne Johnson has chosen to have a facelift we do not have a confession to rely on. With his liposuction, he was happy to tell the world that he had had it done.
Does this give us a clue as to whether he has had his face altered by the knife?
If he is happy to admit to plastic surgery in the past, why would he not just admit to having it done now?
Also, can we really see much of a difference between the before and after photos?
I don’t believe that we can.
It really does not look like there is any difference at all. Therefore, I think it is safe for us to say that The Rock has chosen to leave his face the way God intended, which looks pretty good to us.
The Rock has had an amazing career in the wrestling ring and he has gone on to have a very strong, healthy career in Hollywood, whether his plastic surgery decision has contributed to that, is hard to determine, but it is clear that he is still very much in demand in films where he plays a hard man, even though he has now entered his forties. Confirmation of yet another Fast and the Furious film has trickled down the grapevine and we can expect to have it hitting cinema screens at some point in 2017.
So maybe, the decision has paid off and the fact that the roles keep coming are testament to that. Whatever it is that Dwayne Johnson is doing right, we really do hope that he continues, as he provides with a huge amount of entertainment.
And who know, considering how well he keeps his body in shape, maybe we will see him back in the ring.
So it’s a good thing that he hasn’t had surgery on his face, because if he did he may not be so willing to get into any more fights and then we would all feel like we are missing out.
What do you think? Or do you see some other possible procedures on him? Share your thought.
